Dress Sense:
A consumer guide to shopping for organic clothing and textiles
We all like clothing . to feel or
look good, for comfort, or to make a statement. However, our clothing says
something else; however cool, groovy or fashionable, it costs more than we
pay in the shop. The farming methods currently used involve dangerous and
polluting chemicals which poison farmers, the land, and water; dyes and
chemicals used in processing are heavily polluting, and many workers in the
industry suffer low wages, discrimination and poor working conditions. This
guide to shopping for organic clothes and textiles gives consumers a choice
that has been missing for years, November 2004, £2.50.

Organic Cotton: A practical guide to the UK market, As
a result of many year's engagement in promoting the sector, PAN has

well as to point companies towards practical sources of help and

the organic cotton projects we are associated with, particularly in Africa,
