Northumberland

None of the civic amenity sites at Northumberland County Council are currently licensed to accept pesticides waste. However, the council operates a free monthly collection of waste from residential premises and may be able to collect pesticide waste. Contact Stephen Wardle on 01670 534049.

North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire County Council operates a monthly milk round collection. They can accept pesticides during these collections. Call 01609 532512 for details and to arrange a collection.

Residents of the City of York can take pesticide waste to the civic amenity site listed below. Contact the site operator upon arrival. Further details are available from 01904 625751.

Doncaster 

Waste disposal sites in Doncaster are currently unable to accept pesticide waste. However, a free collection service operates about once a month. Call the Council's customer services on 01302 736000 for information.

Barnsley  

There are currently no facilities in Barnsley for safe disposal of pesticide waste. 

Rotherham

The civic amenity site listed below has a chemical safe where residents can place pesticide waste. Contact the site operator upon arrival at the site.

Tyne & Wear

Newcastle upon Tyne

Newcastle City Council currently have no facilities for safe disposal of pesticide waste. They advice their residents to contact the local Environment Agency for advice on 0870 8506506.

Gateshead 

Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council provides a collection service for waste pesticides. Call them on 0191 433 7000 to arrange a collection.

South Tyneside 

The site listed below has a chemical safe where residents can place pesticide waste. Please call 0191 427 7000 for site opening times and contact the site operator upon arrival at the site.

Bradford 

Bradford City Council can arrange for safe disposal of pesticide waste. Call 01274 432447 to enquire.

Leeds 

Leeds City Council provide a free collection service for pesticide waste. Collections are normally arranged within a month. Call 0113 398 4760 to arrange.  

Calderdale

Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council currently have no facilities for safe disposal of pesticide waste.

Kirklees

Kirklees Metropolitan Council provide a collection service for pesticide waste. Call on 01484 414700 or 01484 226884 to enquire.

Kirklees Metropolitan Council also have chemical safes at the civic amenity sites listed below but prefer residents to contact them first on the numbers listed above. People bringing pesticides to the sites below should contact the site operator upon arrival.
