Eye defect studies

The UK Department of Health has commissioned a comprehensive epidemiological study of anopthalmia and microphthalmia (eye defect) cases from the Environmental Epidemiology Unit at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. The report, which is due to be completed in November 1995, comes after an alleged connection between anopthalmia in children born from mothers exposed to the pesticide benomyl.
