£80,000 for dip exposure
Robert Shepherd a former farm manager and
shepherd of Lancashire College of Agriculture has received £80,000 out-of-court
damages for compensation due to ill health caused by OP sheep dip.
Mr Shepherd had to dip the college's sheep twice a year,
and subsequently suffered from tiredness, irritability, loss of concentration,
and was unable to do his job.
The case adds further evidence to suggest a link between OP
exposure and long-term adverse health effects, according to UNISION, the public
service union.
