3rd-9th December 2019: TRAID-sponsored exchange visit to India

PAN-UK, PAN Ethiopia and Obepab (Benin) staff will attend meetings in Nagpur hosted by the Organic Cotton Accelerator and the C&A Foundation, followed by a field visit to see organic cotton programmes run by Pratibha in Indore.

12th-13th December 2019: Steering Committee meeting of the Africa ChemObs project

PAN UK’s Sheila Willis will attend the meeting in order to present new guidance materials to the nine participating countries and to elicit feedback. The materials are designed to help national authorities to identify which chemicals and polluted sites pose the highest risk to human health and environment. Another NGO, Pure Earth, is also partnering in the project in order to help national authorities to estimate the financial cost of key pollutants, including pesticides, due to their impacts on health.
